Privacy policy
Last updated: August 2026Photos by Chan ("we", "she") respects your privacy. This page explains, in plain language, what information this website collects and what happens to it.
What we collect, and why
The only personal information this site collects is what you type into the booking form: your name, phone number, email address, shoot type, preferred date and time, and anything you write in the message field. It's used for exactly one purpose: responding to your inquiry and arranging your consultation call and session. It is never sold, rented, or shared for marketing.
How the booking form works
Form submissions are delivered by Formspree, a form processing service, which transmits your submission to our email. Formspree processes your submission under its own privacy policy.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not use advertising trackers, and does not set cookies of its own. It does load resources from third parties that may see your IP address as a normal part of serving them:
- Google Fonts, for the typefaces on this site
- Pixieset, which hosts our photographs and client galleries
- Vercel, which hosts this website and keeps standard server logs
How long we keep it
Inquiry details are kept as long as needed to respond to you and manage your booking, and for reasonable business records afterward. If you'd like your inquiry deleted, just ask.
Your photographs
How your session photographs may be used (for example, in this site's gallery or on Instagram) is agreed in your photography contract, not this policy. Nothing is showcased without the permissions set out there.
Your choices
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask for deletion at any time by messaging @photosbychan or replying to any email from us.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
